I don’t know about you, but starting a big, complicated project can be overwhelming for me, because my detail-oriented brain sees all the many individual tasks and the myriad possible approaches. I need to start off by applying organization and structure to the project. That helps me see a few possible paths forward (instead of dozens), and make a considered decision about how to proceed.
Optimizing the training that you provide to your employees definitely qualifies as a big, complicated project. This is especially true if you are doing it without any support from someone with expertise in communication, information organization, and/or instructional design.
Fortunately, you’ve got me.
I’ve created a new, free tool to help business owners get a clear understanding of the strengths and weaknesses of their current training program, and provide them with an idea of how to start making improvements. I call it the Training Report Card.
I would love for you to check it out and let me know what you think in the comments!
